Venture Trust is a voluntary organisation that helps people - often those at the margins of society -make positive changes in their lives. We do this by providing time and space in a wilderness setting, far away from the pressures of home. We invite people to step out of their comfort zones into a ‘stretch’ zone where they are safe but challenged, and where powerful learning takes place. Then we help them evaluate the lessons they learn and how to put those lessons to work when they return home.
Until now our services have been based in Applecross in the far north-west Highlands of Scotland, but in an exciting and innovative development, Venture Trust has now acquired a new specially built vehicle. Our Community Mobile Training Centre has capacity for twelve clients and five staff members. From its base in the Central Belt, the unit will be used to run challenging personal development courses throughout Scotland.
The Programme Co-ordinator is responsible for bringing together a series of courses to take place on the Venture Trust Community Mobile Training Centre. You will play a major role in ensuring the effective planning and delivery of course programmes. You will liaise closely with the Project Manager, to ensure that courses are operated effectively and safely. You will also be expected to ensure the maintenance of all Mobile project equipment and vehicles. In addition, ensure that all appropriate operating procedures, risk assessments and legislation are adhered to. You will also be responsible for production of pertinent records and of any course related reports.
On appointment you will hold a minimum of three valid and relevant qualifications of recognised unit status, as well as a recognised First Aid Certificate and/or five years of relevant training and/or work experience (Ideal qualifications would include APIOL accreditation or equivalent).
