The Chance for Change (U.K.) Programme
Unfortunately the funding from the Big Lottery has not been continued for the Chance for Change UK programme and from 31 March 2008 we are unable to offer any more places on this programme. Venture Trust is currently working on securing further funding through a variety of sources for this very positive programme. Please see our most recent outcomes based on an independent University of Edinburgh evaluation of paticipants six-months post-course. If you are interested in supporting this programme or would like further information, please contact Louisa Worladge.- Is built around a FREE ten-day residential course at Venture Trust's Applecross Centre in the North West Highlands.
- In partnership with the referrer, provides FREE personal development and support for over a year to young people aged 16-25 throughout the UK.
- Is designed to complement the work of voluntary organisations in local communities.
- Provides a tailored action plan to help young people lift themselves out of negative cycles of behaviour.

Who can I refer?
Any young person aged 16 - 25 who you think will benefit from our programme.
Who pays for it?
The Big Lottery Fund, with additional support from various charitable trusts. The only expense for the referring agency is travel to/from Inverness train station.
We supply everything else - food, accommodation, clothing and equipment.
How do young people get there?
We pick them up from Inverness station and drive them over the mountains to Applecross.
Will I be kept informed of the young person’s progress?
Yes. Staff will call you with an update mid-course, and you are free to phone the centre anytime.
Can I refer a young person on a methadone programme?
Yes. A young person on a stable methadone programme will be considered for the course.
